On December 14, 2023, the World Economic Forum (WEF) announced its latest batch of “Lighthouse Factories,” among which CITIC Pacific Special Steel (Xingcheng Special Steel Works) stood out from thousands of selected factories worldwide, becoming the sole “Lighthouse Factory” in the steel industry for this round of selection, and also the first “Lighthouse Factory” in the global special steel industry.

Business digitization promotes the transformation of operation model
Build a group management and control system that integrates the digital supply chain, intelligent marketing, financial sharing center, human resources sharing center and other businesses to improve business management and control decision-making capabilities, promote the transformation of the Group from centralized management and control to service empowerment, and meet the strategic needs of rapid expansion. Start the construction of big data center, clearly define the construction goals of the Five “One” Projects, promote the construction of big data system to support the business decisions of the Group, form new data-empowered capabilities, and build the “most powerful brain” of special steel, and drive the construction of “digital intelligence special steel” from four aspects: system, assets, application, and platform.

Multi-base collaborative production and manufacturing to make bigger and stronge
Implement the intelligent and centralized control transformation and upgrading in key manufacturing processes, and promote the collaborative manufacturing of five manufacturing processes such as before iron-making (including coking, pelletizing, sintering, and blast furnace), bar rolling, steel pipes, wire rods rolled by high-speed twist-free mill, and leaf springs. Build eight intelligent manufacturing demonstration lines including the blast furnace ironmaking, steel bar rolling, and medium-thick plate production lines in Xingcheng Special Steel Works, the seamless steel pipe and special forging metallurgical product production lines in Daye Special Steel, the high-speed wire rod production line in Qingdao Special Steel, the coking line in Tongling Special Materials, and the pelletizing line in Yangzhou Special Materials to promote collaborative manufacturing among the business units.
