Ultra-low Emissions
CITIC Pacific Special Steel has continuously enhanced environment protection process management through dual approaches of management and technology, so as to accelerate the advancement of ultra-low emissions transformation and realize both organized and unorganized management as well as clean transportation improvement. The ultra-low emission transformation has significantly reduced pollutant emissions. Subsidiaries such as Xingcheng Special Steel, Qingdao Special Steel, and Tianjin Pipe have achieved full-process ultra-low emissions transformation and have been publicly recognized on the CISA website.

Recycling and Utilization
CITIC Pacific Special Steel adheres to the principle of “utilizing high-quality raw materials”, actively improving ore grades from the source to reduce solid waste generation. The company promotes the implementation of comprehensive solid waste utilization projects, such as steel slag treatment and complex dust sludge disposal, striving to enhance the utilization rate of solid waste resources. By exploring new technologies for solid waste disposal, the company aims to turn waste into treasure and achieve the goal of "no solid waste leaving the factory."

Carbon Peaking & Carbon Neutrality Goals
Achieve carbon peak by 2030,
and carbon neutrality by 2060.
CITIC Pacific Special Steel insist to oblige the energy conservation and consumption reduction as its central task to promote carbon reduction and efficiency enhancement. We carried out the special planning of the CITIC Pacific Special Steel Low Carbon Roadmap that clearly defines the overall work, working principles, key tasks, and realization paths of carbon peaking & carbon neutrality, and established the dual-carbon management team and working team has been established to promote the orderly implementation of the Group’s carbon peaking and carbon neutrality by setting up a multiple level internal cooperative mechanism.
We are committed to building a new carbon peaking & carbon neutrality application model in the steel industry, creating a green and low-carbon new ecosystem, and promoting full life cycle carbon footprint assessment. Quantify the carbon emissions of the entire steel industry chain.

Clean Energy
In order to increase the clean energy consumption ratio, CITIC Pacific Special Steel continues to increase the efforts to develop the workshop rooftop distributed photovoltaic project and wind energy power generation project. Up to now, it has built 120MW of installed photovoltaic capacity. We will continue to promote the construction of clean energy projects during the “14th Five-Year Plan” period, and it is expected that the new installed capacity will reach 80MW.
